Questions we get first

What is ALI Remote V2?
A rebuilt version of ALI Remote that adds an API, an MCP endpoint, automations and Instagram tracking, and lets you rent from a single iPhone at $49 a month. ALI Remote rents real iPhones hosted in a datacenter, which you control from your browser. It is real iPhones only, with no Android.
How much does it cost, and will I pay more than before?
From $49 per iPhone per month, falling to $45 from 10 iPhones, $40 from 30 and $35 from 100. Above 500 iPhones the price is custom, and mobile data and add-ons are billed on top. Nobody pays more after V2, and most clients pay less: if your current price is lower than the new tier you keep it, and if it is higher it drops to the new tier on your next invoice. V1 was billed every 30 days and V2 is billed monthly, and existing clients have nothing to sign.
Can I really rent just one iPhone?
Yes. The minimum order is one iPhone, at $49 a month. V1 required five.
How is the API priced?
Every phone comes with free API credits each day, reset at midnight UTC: 6,000 per phone plus 2,500 for the account, as standard numbers. When you need more you buy credit packs on the Billing page, from $27 for 60,000 credits. Driving a phone by hand is not API use and does not use credits.
What is MCP, and do I need a developer to use it?
MCP is the standard that lets an AI assistant operate a tool directly. Connect ALI Remote to an assistant such as Claude, sign in with OAuth 2.1 with no key to paste, and describe what you want in plain language instead of clicking. You do not need a developer for that. You do need one to use the raw API.
Can I limit what a contractor can do?
Yes. API keys are limited to the actions and the phones you choose, so a key can be restricted to three phones and two actions. Over MCP, the 40 tools that change something ask for your approval before they run.
Can I still drive phones by hand?
Yes. Driving a phone by hand works as before, and the API and automations are additions, not replacements. A few V1 features are gone, and we list them above.
